Sam and Harmony's Wedding

Hello blog world! Did you know Ashley could be pretty persuasive? Well she can be. So I begin my foray into blogging with an actual event which is much more thrilling than my normal life. Matt and I traveled to Fortuna, California for Sam and Harmony's wedding. It was beautiful but quite a far drive, like five hours far. It was fun to see Northern California and the wedding was awesome. Harmony did a great job pulling together her theme and like I told Matt "she has picked up an issue or two of Martha Stewart's wedding". I'll let the pictures do the talking...

Goodbye Bay Area , thanks for driving Matty.

Two signs you are getting married in a small town are:

1. There is a civil war reenactment across the street from your hotel. It was very cool by the way. I mean come on they had real horses and cannons. It made me miss the south, is that weird?

2. One of the hotels on your hotel block welcomes your wedding guest on their marque. How fancy is that?!

We clean up nice don't we?

Harmony provided parasols for the ladies.

The rich purple was beautiful. So were the flowers and butterfly napkin rings.

Some tables had tissue flower poms instead of butterflies. And a flower arrangement shaped like a box. The yellow flowers popped off the purple linens.

A shot of the dance floor.

Adorable flower girls. They dropped the petals exactly on top of the petals that already lined the aisle. It was too cute.

Harmony was so pretty.

Harmony also had fedoras for the guys. I can be a hipster too!

Good food: yummy panzanella salad

Signature drink: don't remember the name we called it purple goodness!

Beautiful butterflies that we released during the wedding ceremony. They were still a little sleepy from being frozen so we let this one hang out on our table arrangement.

Go Harmony! Smash that cake in his face.

The live band during the reception was terrific. Matt and I were waiting for a slow dance and the first one they played was my and Matt's song. Hello kissmet!

We had such a wonderful time in beautiful Northern California. See Ashley you asked for a blog entry and I gave you a long one (that's what she said).

First Day of Preceptorship

Today is my first day of my preceptorship at Children's Hospital Oakland!!!!  My shift is from 3-11:30 tonight...so its totally awesome to walk to my car after working (just kidding I will get escorted by a security gaurd, mom).  I felt some pressure to put my first day of school up because of Gabby and how she put Jason's first day of school up...so I just copied the idea.

Dancing

I just love how happy my mom looks!!!! I guess a "few" shots of tequilla will do that to you
Mad Dog's face is priceless

Last night we went out as a family to the Pleasanton Hotel and enjoyed some good music, drinks, and dancing. We all had a blast!!! The hotel was just newly remodeled and looks really really nice. Poor Tori just got her wisdom teeth done, so she was unable to drink and laugh all night...but I am sure she had a good time too.

Camping

This past weekend we all went camping at Del Valle. During the first night it was blazing hot till about 5:30 in the morning....then what happens? Freak thunder and lightening!!! And not just a little bit...of course we did not have a rain tarp over our tent so when it started raining we were very soaked, then Tweedy got attacked by a squirrel with an acorn. It was quite entertaining to say the least. But did thunder and lightening change the boys mind about fishing? Oh no...they dragged us out on the lake ("because its only thunder the hard stuff wasn't gonna come down for quite a while!") But we survived and caught ZERO fish!!

Hey Everyone!!!!

So through immense pressure from Mrs. Gabby Adams, we have created a blog. And when I say we I really mean that I just threw one together, so if it doesn't look good or if something is wrong with it then it is no one elses fault but mine. But we will be posting pictures very often (especially Kim cause she has all the pictures as of now). But I do promise to post more pictures once I get my camera back from the repair place!! Anyways enjoy these oldies but goodies...
