Household Craftyness

One day I will post something that has nothing to do with crafts or our house, but seeing as our house is the biggest work in project thing we have ever done in our lives, its hard to do anything else.  Mike again has stepped his "Craftyness, tool using," game up!! In the last week he has made a busy board, finished the nursery, finished the kids bathroom, and figured out our sprinkler system...ALL while being a dad! Jacob did spend the last four days with Noni and Grandpa and my parents, so that definitely helped us get organized.  We only have one more box to throw away!!! That, I think, is the most exciting thing in the world!

Here is proof of Mike again using his tools... and no he did not screw that board into the living room floor (surprisingly!)

Here is the final project of the busy board!!In the bottom left corner there will be a light switch, but Mike just hasn't found one that will work.
Here is Mike's genius organization of Jacob's bathroom toys! (Well Pinterest's genius idea) Just a shower rod and three baskets!

And finally I did what I do best this week! Decorated!!! The kid's bathroom is all frogs (Jacob helped pick it out)

Pinterest Strikes Again

Most people would think that the woman in the relationship would be doing all these Pinterest crafts... well it's the opposite in the Wood household. Granted I find some recipes from there and use them, but I will even give that to Mike. This latest project made Mike pull out his tools and use his work bench for the first time! (Thank you Chris and Sue)
Here is the man in action!! Added props to him is that it was about 100 degrees when he was doing this.

 Almost the final project....
And here is ours on the left and Pinterest on the right. It turned out perfect!! In fact it works so well that he is going to build a few more.  Our storage needs in the garage are crazy!!! Who would have thought we had so much stuff?!?! Especially since every garbage day our entire can is overflowing!! On the good side, Mike seems to be really enjoying these house projects (lucky me!).
